Soccer Mom Summer Programs 2013 - Cancelled for June/July 2013

Our Soccer Mom program has evolved into two programs, each with their own focus.

Soccer Mom Program

This is an introductory soccer program for adult women. It is designed to provide participants with instruction in the various skills involved in soccer from passing, trapping, striking, dribbling as well as the laws of the game, strategic elements and team play.

A WCAGFC coaching staff member leads all sessions and provides ongoing instruction to participants throughout each session and the entire program.

Scrimmage Soccer Program

The second stream is targeted towards those who are already comfortable with the skills, techniques and tactics of soccer and are interested in gaining and/or maintaining their fitness level in the off season through weekly open scrimmages.

At the beginning of each session, the Program Coach will conduct a warm up with all participants. Following the group warm up, those wishing to step right into scrimmaging can do so. The Program Coach will try to direct the division of teams fairly. All scrimmages will be self-refereed.

Those wishing to engage in an instructional session with the Program Coach will start their session as the other group begins scrimmaging. Following the instructional component the Program Coach will re-organize teams for the second scrimmage session, incorporating the instructional component players. All scrimmages are self-refereed.

Program Duration

The program will operate for an hour over 7 Sunday evenings for a total of 10.5 hours.

Times & Dates

• Sunday evenings from 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
• June 9, 16, 23 and July 7, 14, 21, 28 (no session on Sunday June 30)

Program Cost:

• $70 per person (includes GST) for soccer mom program
• $40 per person (includes GST) for scrimmage soccer program

Due to low registrations, this program will not be held for the dates quoted above.
